A Brief History of Burnett & Driskill
The roots of our disability law firm reach back to 1968, when attorney Roger Guy Burnett founded a general practice law firm here in Liberty, Missouri. The membership of the firm has changed several times over the years, but our commitment to providing quality legal representation and personal client service has never wavered.
Drawn to Disability Law
Mr. Burnett had a respected and wide-ranging general practice, but was especially drawn to disability law cases. He found it personally rewarding to be able to use his legal knowledge and skill to help people who were unable to help themselves.
In 1991, he decided to refocus his law practice on disability law. He was joined by attorney Roger M. Driskill, another respected attorney with a commitment to helping people who are disabled by illness, injury or other serious conditions.
The law office of Burnett & Driskill quickly established itself as a powerful and effective advocate for disabled people.
In 1994, Karen Morrison joined the firm after working for the Social Security Administration in disability determination for 13 years. Her insider's knowledge and our attorneys' decades of experience have helped us achieve about an 80 percent success rate in Social Security Disability claims.
Today our firm includes four lawyers and a knowledgeable and efficient staff. All of us are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of disabled people.
