Kansas City Social Security Disability Lawyers
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a federal program, but the process of obtaining benefits varies slightly from state to state.
The attorneys of Burnett & Driskill represent clients in both Kansas and Missouri from our office in the Kansas City area. We are available to advise and guide you through every step of the process from initial application through all levels of review and appeal, including an appeal to federal District Court.
Your claim can be approved or denied at any step in the process outlined below. We focus on preparing a successful initial application, but we can assist you if your application has already been denied.

Only an attorney can take your case to U.S. District Court. Why not start your disability claim process with a lawyer who can take your case all the way, if it becomes necessary.
Maintaining Your Benefits
Three to seven years after your application is accepted, the Social Security Administration may perform a "continuing benefits review" and determine that you are no longer eligible to receive benefits.
If you have received a letter from the Social Security Administration stating that your benefits will be terminated, please contact our office immediately. If you do not request benefit continuation within 10 days, your benefits will be terminated during the appeal period. Sometimes your benefits will not continue unless you do the appeal within 10 days appropriately.
