Karen Cyzick, our Disability Coordinator/Office Manager, brought with her 13 years of Disability Determination experience with the Social Security Administration when she joined our firm in 1994. With Karen's background, she has the ability and knowledge to guide our clients through every step of the process. She is praised by our clients for her concern and thoroughness. Karen also has the responsibility of hiring, training and supervising our staff activities. She plays a key role in the development, growth and management of firm activities. Because of her liaison work with Social Security and our firms advanced technology Karen has been uniquely involved representing our firm in several pilot projects with Social Security's electronic file development testing. She also conducts seminars for health professionals interested in learning more about Social Security Disability. As a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives (NOSSCR) she attends twice yearly conferences to stay abreast of changes in the law. She is also a member of the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR) and an associate member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). |

Sheryl Danner, legal assistant, has worked with the public for more than 13 years. She is responsible for preparing and filing of claimant's applications and appeals as well as any communications between the claimant and Social Security. She works closely with our clients gathering information that is pertinent to their case and preparing their cases for hearing. She is a dedicated worker and a great asset to our firm. |

Teresa Maloney, legal assistant, has over 15 years of experience working with medical disability claims. She meets with claimants obtaining the necessary information from them to file and appeal their disability claims. She keeps clients updated on the status of their appeals pending at the hearing level. Teresa has a genuine care and concern for our clients and their well being. |

Sue Edwards, currently our Medical Coordinator, has been with us since 2006 in various positions. She obtains physician opinion reports and medical records from Health Care Providers to document client disability claims. She demonstrates a high degree of effort and urgency when obtaining these documents, but never fails to show her professional and outgoing personality with the various medical entities that she communicates with on a daily basis. She also takes intricate care with clients who call her with medical updates for their files. |

Angela Craven, our receptionist/legal assistant, has worked with the public for more than twenty years. Her pleasant personality and warm smile helps put the clients at ease and conveys her genuine concern for them. She also handles the volumes of mail each day with efficiency and keeps track of our disability files. |

Jenny Turk, legal assistant, has a combined total of over 10 years in the medical and legal fields. She is responsible for meeting with claimants and gathering all pertinent information necessary for filing an initial disability claim or appealing an existing claim. She also processes all the decisions received on our clients’ claims. Her strong medical background makes her a key player in assisting our clients to effectively communicate their issues to the Social Security Administration. Jenny is dedicated to making the filing process simple and worry-free for her clients. |

Kim Bramwell, legal assistant, brings 14 years of customer service to our clients. She is responsible for various tasks dedicated to preparing for hearings, including communication between our office and the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review. Additionally, she is responsible for following up with Social Security for award documentation in successful claims. As a team player, Kim is willing to help out wherever needed. |

Laura Westerheide, our Electronic Records Processor, joined us in 2011. She is meticulous in her responsibilities maintaining our electronic case files. She reviews and organizes administrative records for scanning and indexing as well as processes medical records sent to us electronically. She also takes intricate care with clients who call her with medical updates for their files. Laura has enjoyed working with the public for 20 years and brings a background in nursing and management. Laura has been pursuing her education in the legal field. Laura is a team player and a true asset to the firm in this world of the electronic office. |

Sarah Canaday Heckman, receptionist/legal assistant, brings 13 years of experience working with people in non-profit and public service fields. She values her role in assisting clients and making a difference. She handles correspondence between our office and clients, Social Security, and other parties working closely with Angela Craven to ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and empathetic fashion.
